We received this order from customer and we decided to prepare a manufacturing plan to machine this part using a fixture for quick setup and fast processing time. After reeving the latest revision models form the customers we ran it through our 3D CAD/CAM software to assess the machineability and engineer a suitable solution for creating the part. Using material blocking techniques and stock preparation, the parts can be held for the machining stage and later in the inspection and final quality check stages.
SALES MAN
Receive confirmation email from customer, send data to engineering team, 3d models with drawings to proceed.
PLANNING & PROGRAMMING
Ordering material from supplier or receiving material from the customer and prepare manufacturing plan, suitable part setups and acquiring special purpose cutters and form tools. If any jigs are required, prepare them and fabricate, machine or assemble. The programmer will Follow the manufacturing plan and create efficient NC programs and setup sheets with CAD/CAM software for the machinist.
MACHINIST
Material preparation for machining according to manufacturing instructions.
(conform the row material size, Band saw cutting if required, blocking or cleaning up sides of raw material for work piece holding devices.)
CNC MACHINIST
According to the process sheet and planning, set up the part in the CNC machining and Set up all cutters and offsets. Select the right NC program to Run the CNC machine. After part finished wiped down free of oil and coolant and deburr or chamfer properly for inspection.
Quality Assurance
Once the part has been machined and cleaned, the quality department checks all dimensions against the drawing and verify all sizes are in tolerance. For multiple parts, a 10th article part inspection is completed with 100% inspection criteria. All records are kept in the inspection reports.
Outside Process
We send the parts outside if required for treatment such as anodising, plating, hardening etc.
Final inspection before delivery
Before preparing the final production for delivery to the customer, a thorough inspection is carried out to make sure there are no blemishes or damages from outside process and ready for packaging according to the customer request, arrange for courier or warehouse delivery with all paperwork needed, AS requested.
